I'm an engineer currently fulfilling my lifelong dream of being a rocket scientist as a mechanical designer at SpaceX. I lead crew interface avionics mechanical hardware development on the Dragon 2 spacecraft. I am responsible for the design, analysis, and test of the control panel and touchscreen displays, which are the primary astronaut user interfaces for the vehicle. In my five years at SpaceX, I supported the Dragon 1 trunk upgrade and drove the Dragon 2 cabin avionics from concept to flight hardware.

I joined SpaceX after graduating with my master's degree in mechanical engineer from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as a member of both the Mechanics of Solid Materials and Structural Biological and Biomimetic Materials Laboratories. I researched bio-inspired composites and helped develop flexible protective coatings inspired by nature for defense applications. I earned my B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and previously worked as a product design co-op at Apple.

I love watching rocket launches, floral arrangements, cross-stitching, cats on the internet (especially @baronvonsqueaks), and being married to a Disney Imagineer.
